More About Billie-Jo

  • University was never something Billie-Jo was interested in. She gets homesick and didn’t want to live away from her family.

  • After GCSEs she started training to be a vet, but it wasn’t for her. Her dad is a plasterer, so she tried working for him and loved it. It was the best decision she’s ever made.

  • She did a two-year apprenticeship to become a plasterer. One day, she wants to start her own business and could earn £40,000 a year.

  • Fitness comes with the job. When she first started out she couldn’t lift a bag of plaster, but now she carries two.

  • In her spare time she loves riding. Her job gives her the flexibility to look after her horse. Sometimes she rides for an hour during the day and goes back to work.
